"IT'S MORE SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE TO HATE KIDS THEN IT IS TO HATE PUPPIES!!!! Kay bye now!!!"
~Daemon
Nathaniel: "Kids are disgusting."
"So is your face" ๐๐คฃ ~Daemon
Nathaniel: It makes a good seat for your nephews though.
Trent: NATHANIEL! ๐ฑ
"Sure it does. Least ways he doesn't have to see it" ๐ ~Daemon
Sebastian: *looking between Nate and Trent uncertainly*
Nathaniel: Can't argue with that, except you mean "they". I meant plural.
"And? Aegon would fuck a mule. So I wouldn't use him as a way to boost your opinion of yourself. Especially if he's also sitting on your face" Daemon replied shrugged not really caring either way. "Now do me a favor and run along. Perhaps go find them so I don't have to continue looking at you!!" He added in a sing song voice.
Nathaniel: Actually, that's a good idea.
Sebastian: Think they'd agree to a foursome?
Trent: Trinket stays with me!
Sebastian: awwwww, I was hoping to bribe-- I mean... Persuade --
Nathaniel: Yeah, yeah, let's go
"Kay bye bye now! I'd say let me know how that goes but .. I really don't care" Daemon snickering.
Trent squeezed Daemon's hand. "Luci got us hummus and falafel, do you want to try it?"
"Hey baby" Daemon immediately went pecking Trent's lips before shrugging. "Yeah sure why not" He added with a chuckle.
Trent grinned. He'd never been called "baby" by Daemon before! He decided he liked it. As they walked to Luci's, Trent asked, "So what DO you think of dogs and kids?"
"I clearly hate them both" Daemon replied with a small smirk a moment later, eyes briefly darting to Trent with that mischievous look he sometimes got. "Please Trent considering I have both what kind of silly question is that" he finally added with a laugh.
"Oh, I've been told all my questions are silly," Trent said with a grin.
"Um... Well... Some of them are... Some are just plain stupid. Others not so much. But who's keeping track? Anyway yes Trent, I adore puppies and children" Daemon replied quickly deciding to get the topic back on Trent. Jesus sometimes Trent was depressing without even knowing it! "Alot more than most people actually" He added just for emphasis.
"But children *are* people. They're like proto-people," Trent pointed out. "And it also matters whether they're on purpose or not! ๐"
"And? Their little people...... They absolutely do not compare to adults in any way" Daemon scoffed shaking his head. Though he did pause hearing Trent's comment "Well obviously.... To an extent. One of mine wasn't necessarily on purpose but that doesn't mean I love her less. Same can't be said for everyone" He replied shrugging a bit dismissively. "Like I'm a hundred percent convinced my sister in-law did not want any of hers. But she had to play my brother for his money somehow right?" He added a bit smartly before moving to pull a pack of cigarettes from his peacoat, then lit one up.
"Your nephews and niece by her are delightful," said Trent with a straight face. Then he snorted and burst into laughter. "I'm sorry, Daemon, really. My sister and my best friend were both unplanned. And it shows, in at least one case."
Daemon actually believed him, so much so he looked over at Trent as if he truly thought the man had fallen I'll or something. "Ah yes, very funny. You're quite the convincing liar" He mused smartly moving in closer to wrap an arm around Trent's waste as they walked. "Well I haven't met your sister but .. I'm going to guess the one that shows is your ... Bestie" He remarked the last part VERY sarcastically without much shame. He was well beyond jokes about liking fucking Sebastian..... Unless it was to say his mother should have swallowed but, he rather wasn't in the mood for an actual argument past annoying Nathaniel.
Trent snuggled into Daemon. "I can be," he said. "And my sister is... an over-achieving suck-up. Neither one of us likes our dad or her mom, though, so we have that in common." Trent decided to ignore the comment about Sebastian. They'd been raised together and if Daemon had a problem with Sebastian's upbringing, it was likely he would have a problem with Trent's. That wasn't a can of worms he felt like opening just at the moment.
"Wait.... " Daemon suddenly looked at Trent with a bit of confusion. "If you .. dislike your mother so much why I am I meeting her? Or is it some ploy to piss her off?" H asked genuinely curious now. The small things you randomly learn about Trent when actually paying attention. Oops!
Trent stared at him for a sec. "Cat's mother is the one I dislike," he said, a rare look of irritation crossing his face. Then comprehension dawned. "Oh! I forgot to tell you, she's my HALF sister. Same father, different mothers. Hers is my Aunt Annmarie. My sister's mom is my mom's sister. Although you guessed half-correctly in that I'm also inviting Annmarie to irritate her. My dad, too. They... didn't like the idea of me having boyfriends, but what was I going to do? End up knocking up some girl who'd never love me and run out after the baby was born, likeใผ"
Trent cut himself off with a start. Oops.
"Being with men just seemed safer," he amended. "There's no basis to that story, so please forget I said that." He linked his arm with Daemon's. "So? Are you looking forward to meeting the family?"
Daemon fell silent for a time just listening and casting Trent a few more serious looks. Wow, his family was fairly messed up to. Who'd have thought? Actually he'd always kind of wondered with certain things Trent occasionally said but, well he wasn't one to ask. This stuff was Trent's business. "Mmm yeah, I have to agree there. Having kids with anyone is risky business. But ok, consider it forgotten" He replied gently squeezing Trent's middle as he cast him a reassuring smile. "So, I nearly forgot where we're going. Are we really walking all the way to Luci's for food?" He added with a bit of a laugh.
"I could always carry you," Trent smarted at him. Without waiting for an answer, he scooped Daemon up and began walking with him.
"Well I wasn't compl.... Shit Trent!" Daemon went a bit wide eyed for a moment as Trent went scooping him up. Ok he really should have been used to this by now but .... He really wasn't! There was always that brief moment he swore he was going to end up on his ass before ... Well it didn't happen. "Ok... Well this works to" Daemon mused moving an arm around Trent's shoulder as he cracked a small smile.
Trent kisses Daemon's forehead. He was so adorable sometimes.
When they got to where they were going, Trent deposited Daemon on a sofa and happily held up a little vine of fresh grapes. "Open up!"
Kicking back Daemon smirked a bit amused watching Trent hold the grapes towards him. "Mm so now you're feeding me as well? I could get used to this" He teased moving to bite one off with his teeth the moment they were close enough.
"Good!" Trent said happily. "I like taking care of you."
Daemon just sort of smiled in response to Trent before moving to lay his head against the other.
Trent stroked his hair affectionately. "Hey, Daemon? You know I love you, right?"
Daemon sort of seemed to frown for a second. Was Trent about to tell him something he wasn't going to like? "Um... Yeah?" He replied eyes shifting up to the other for a moment to study the brunettes face.
"Good!" Trent chirped happily. "I'm really lucky to have met you. Even with the tension going on sometimes, I just wanted you to know you're really important to me."
