(Lydia and Aemond)
//Eeewww the fact I have to pick up a Crispy Cole
But guess what I can do it! Y'all need to seriously make better friends and love interests like seriously..... Please..... //
"Nope" Aemond
//Ok fine.... Here's your pet!!//
"Thank you" Aemond
Nathaniel: excuse me I am pet
"Excuse me you're like ... The house pet" Aemond
Nathaniel: I'll be any kind of pet you want me to be ๐ฅบ
"Well, how about the silent kind?" Aemond
Nathaniel suddenly looked furious. "FUCK you, Aemond!" he snapped venomously. Then he stormed out.
"Good morning to you as well!!" Aemond called after him a bit smartly before shaking his head.
Nathaniel stormed back in. "No, you know what? I tried to be nice to you. I've been nothing but accommodating with you, and this is the thanks I get in return? I've been down this road before, both with myself and seeing a friend go through it and I am NOT putting up with this bullshit from you. You call me when you feel like acting like a civilized human being."
Aemond glared as Nathaniel came back in just to start shouting. Moving to stand he sauntered over and all to quickly open handedly smacked Nathaniel hard enough it definitely left a handprint. "One, you come in here whining as if my Teacher is more important than you. Two, I'm sorry I got irritated by that but it irritated me. Three, you're definitely one to talk! Civilized?!! Do you hear yourself!!? That certainly isn't you! And lastly, fuck you to Nathaniel..... Seriously..... Fuck you!" He snarled before giving the other a bit of an angry shove. "Now you can leave"
Nathaniel automatically touched his cheek. Honestly, being hit had calmed him down, or at least, gotten him riled in a different way.
"All I meant was that I wanted to be yours," he muttered. "You keep pushing me away when I was-- at first, anyway-- trying to be there for you. I'm bad at this, and I... I'm sorry."
"Bad at this? You're fucking awful at this! One second you're sweet, the next you're nearly jerking off at me and the next you're screaming at me and frankly it doesn't seem to matter what I do!" Aemond replied his tone still a bit hot. Moving to run his hands over his face he let out a frustrated sigh. "I'm going to train.... " He muttered finally reaching the point of no idea what to even say to the other. Seemed to be a reoccurring thing and he just couldn't read Nathaniel like EVER! With that he was soon moving to leave
Nathaniel stubbornly decided to follow him and keep talking. "I am," he agreed. "I haven't been in a lot of relationships and the ones I was in weren't successful, and it wasn't always because of me," he pointed out. "But, if you're wondering what happened today, I said I wanted to be yours and you told me to shut up. And I don't 'jerk off at you'. I would never touch you or expose myself to you without your consent. I don't know what's going on in your head either. The only thing I know that you like is Trinket. Any time I say or do anything, you push me away, and... But I don't want to just give up. I like you."
As Nathaniel went on Aemond merely stayed silent. This guy!? Seriously?! He really took that as NOT purely sarcasm? He damn near sounded like Trent for a moment there! And here he went with the pushing him away crap. AGAIN! So clearly last time he'd tried counted for squat! Great to know! Though hearing the comment about Trinket did bring forth a bit of a lighter snicker from him. Of course all of this was merely going through the blonde’s head as he continued out the door and hardly paused, nearly letting the heavy wooden door simply swing back at Nathaniel before he was heading through the front court yard of the keep. Honestly he wasn't doing this shit today! And if Nathaniel wanted to see that as being pushed away it was his funeral. He really didn't see the need for any of this anyway it just felt like the most unnecessary drama on the planet. Poor offended Nathaniel!
Nathaniel kept following him anyway, catching the door and keeping it open for himself. At least he'd kind of gotten Aemond to laugh. That was something, right? Even if it wasn't what Nate had intended. He just followed Aemond out to the courtyard to watch him train. If Aemond didn't want to talk anymore, whatever (dick). But damn if Nate was letting him go unappreciated when training. He was probably quite graceful and athletic.
Nearing the yard both were greeted by the sound of clanging nearby. Several kings guard already at it with each other and unsurprisingly. Aemond merely forced a smile to there greeting before head over for large weapon wrack where he seemed to think for a moment before grabbing one of the swords off, glancing it over for a moment before tossing it a few times in his hand as if to decide if he liked the grip on it. Then turning he started for none other than product of earlier jokes who was standing and watching the others currently.
"You're late..." Criston commented a bit dryly.
"Shut up..." Aemond grumbled in response moving to lean beside the other against the wall for the moment with his back to it. A sort of smirk as he watched the two fighting.
"Don't even think it .... Come on" Criston spoke noticing Aemond eyeing up one of their better king's guards. Aemond was good but, last thing Criston wanted was a real fight breaking out.
"Fine.... It's unthought... For the moment. Now are we to just stand about all day?" Aemond finally complained impatiently moving to push from the wall again sword swinging in one hand.
Criston let out a sigh but said nothing soon moving draw his own. Briefly glancing to Nathaniel if only die to not seeing him before he was soon following the Prince further into the dirt and and both were taking stance.
Nate found somewhere to sit and watched the goings-on. Aemond seemed confident about his fighting skills. Of course, when they took stance, Nate was internally rooting for Aemond to put the other guy on his ass.
Sebastian had gone looking for Nate. Trent had seen Nate and Aemond arguing and the direction they'd headed, and Sebastian had headed in the same direction after making sure he was at least wearing pants. Without a word, he sat down next to Nate and put his head on the taller man's shoulder. Nate acknowledged his friend's presence with a small smile.
"Look at him," Nate murmured. "Look how gorgeous he is. I couldn't stay mad at him even if I wanted to."
Sebastian half-shrugged. He didn't care about Aemond one way or the other. He also didn't like it when someone he was fucking complimented someone else, but if he picked a fight with Nathaniel, then who would he have? Trent? His former best friend was too busy brown-nosing Daemon for a crumb of dick to pay any attention to Sebastian anymore.
At first the two had gone at it, a bit casually metal clanking and occasionally pausing to stretch. However by the time Sebastian had arrived Criston had made note he wanted Aemond to completely get the shield away from him. Which was admittedly one of the harder things when facing an opponent. Though Aemond was in a mood enough he was absolutely glad to hear he had a challenge and by now he was going at it, managing to nearly back Criston into a nearby wall before suddenly the shield moved bashing him backwards and he ended up stumbling and landing in the dirt.
"Stamina will not get you out of everything I've taught you better" Criston remarked moving to step forward and offer Aemond a hand. Noticing Nathaniel and Sebastian from the corner of his eye as he moved to get up Aemond merely ignored the other man's hand looking a bit frustrated. Then moving to stand he was soon back at it again this time at least managing to knock Criston to the ground in a very quickly build up bout of anger.
Again the two had repositioned, Criston even going so far as to purposely mock Aemonds footing the last round after reminding him to start using his head and not his emotions. Well that managed to get Aemond at least thinking but also pissed. The next round he finally managed to pull off a move that opened Criston up to bashing his arm and well he'd nearly gotten it before getting Cristons sword to his ribs.
This went on for at least thirty minutes before Aemond finally managed to succeed and not due to actually doing the right thing as Criston could be fairly frustrating at times. Snatching the shield even after it he'd managed to reach failing once more Aemond was soon being told to go take a cool it. Yeah, Criston was probably right. He should have gone for the dummies first instead of getting himself more worked up that he already was. To late for that now.
Moving away from the brunette and back over for the Weapon wracks Aemond had proceeded to choose an even bigger two handed weapon before heading for the dummies. And another fifteen minutes went by simply damn near thrashing them before he was finally nearing the weapon wrack again near covered in sweat by this point. And a bit of dirt considering he'd landed on his ass a few times in the past hour.
Putting the sword up he turned to head over to where Nathaniel sat with Sebastian and soon sunk down beside him on the long wooden bench reaching below he pulled out the bucket of water kept there and the cup scooping some out. Downing several chugs he leaned forward finally glancing over at the two of them. "You two that bored?" He remarked finally sort of snickering. Nathaniel he knew, was probably still just being persistent in his own way. But that didn't explain the other. Also yeah no you really had to be bored to just sit and watch this and not even join.
The two of them had been watching avidly! In their own world, watching sporting events was a common pastime, although that wasn't something either of them really felt like explaining when asked.
"Arguing with you is boring," Nate smarted back at Aemond without rancor. "At least watching you thrash someone else gets out some of that... stress." He had been about to say 'hostility', but thought better of it.
Sebastian didn't even have the energy to answer. He glanced up at Aemond while the other was speaking, but seemed to dully stare through him rather than truly see him. Well, what else was he supposed to do? he asked murkily in the back of his mind. So yes, he really was that bored.
"You get out stress by watching? That's a new one" Aemond remarked sort of snickering. If Nathaniel had meant something else by that it certainly hadn't came out that way. Moving to get another scoop of water Aemond again moved to chug it down before finally dropping the cup and moving shove the barrel back under the bench. Gods another hour and he'd have somewhere else to be judging by the amount of sun currently streaming down into the training yard. Or perhaps he'd skip it and hope no one remembered enough to complain later. For now he was a good bit exhausted and truthfully debating going off to soak off all the sweat until he either fell asleep and drowned or felt like moving again, or got hungry. Come to think of it multiple things sounded good right now and none involved making it to the small council to be bored to tears to amuse his grandfather.
"You training gets stress out. Of you," Nate clarified with a half-smile.
"But there are definitely ways he gets stress out from watching you," Sebastian piped up, "at least, if that's what you want to call it."
Nate glared at his friend and nudged him off his shoulder. "Bash, why don't you make yourself useful and get some food."
"Do I look like your gofer?"
"You look like my bitch."
Sebastian looked at Aemond with raised eyebrows. "Uh-huh. Fine, I'll whip something up while you give your boyfriend a bath." And he headed off before a blushing Nate could protest.
Nate grimaced. "Uh... Are you okay with me running you a bath?" he asked sheepishly. "And, sorry about my friend, he's annoying when he hasn't gotten laid."
"Oh ..." Aemond replied sort of blinking, though he'd nothing more to say on that as Nathaniel was certainly right on that fact. Slowly moving to stand as Sebastian started in however his gaze moved to the blonde, just sort of staring for a long moment. Well of there wasn't one thing he could notice it was when someone was clearly bothered though he had no idea why. Had he said something or was Sebastian just a fucking dick?
However he did catch the last part and sort of snickered glancing over with a raised eyebrow at Nathaniel "I, gathered with the wretched attitude.... " He agreed on Sebastian finally before moving to pull some of his hair to one side and sort of make a face at how sweaty he still was. "You know, I feel like I should be offended you both just indicated I stink" He remarked with a brief smile before nodding for Nathaniel to follow him back for the stairs to the keep. "I don't need you to run it for me, I've servants who do that but.... You're welcome to join me" He added the last part leaning in close to Nathaniel’s shoulder after the other had caught up enough to whisper that.
Nate laughed. "No, you should be offended that I'm looking for excuses to get your clothes off," he teased. Then he raised his eyebrows as they walked. "Huh. My household staff hadn't run me a bath since I was a kid," he said. "My nanny, Heidi, was the nicest woman you could ever hope to meet." He'd been devastated when she'd died, but Aemond didn't need to know that. He simply followed the younger man, chuckling when Aemond offered to let Nate join him.
"Sure, I'd like that," he said. "Maybe I'll even wash your hair for you. You do have nice hair," he observed.
Hearing the comment about his Nanny Aemond merely sort of smiled. He had someone similar growing up, at least until she'd had to leave because if a situation Aegon. Typical occurrence, it was frankly hard to keep long term staff at times within the castle with things such as Aegon assaulting them, randomly accusing them of things and in general being a nuisance. Meanwhile Aemond had never once opened his mouth to accuse those who had abused their positions. Night and day him and Aegon that was for sure.
Casting a small smile to Nathaniel at his last comment he merely stayed silent and continued on into the keep.
Eventually reaching his own chambers first he lead the way in after sending one of the servants who'd been cleaning to warm up the bath. Then sinking down not far from the crackling fire in one of a few chairs he moved to begin taking off his boots.
Nate watched him out of the corner of his eye while removing his own clothes. Aemond was a sight to behold, for sure. He'd considered himself a "white 10" before, but if he was a 10, Aemond was a 20 at least. That alone was worth putting up with his weird sulky moods.
"You looked good out there," Nate said, stretching out naked in front of the fire.
"I don't do it to look good..." Aemond replied a bit unsure why that mattered. That and frankly he'd hit the dirt more than he wished to admit complementary Criston. Then again he wouldn't fault his trainer and household head kings guard the man had always been a bit stern in everything. Though he actually seemed more fond of Aemond and had more than once been a million times more lenient on him than the others.
Moving to stand as he slid his shirt off he finally moved to start on the laces of his pants.
Nate shook his head. Cultural differences, he thought. "You looked skilled," he amended. "Like you know what you're doing. Sports back home are... different. I learned fencing as a hobby, but..." He shook his head. "It's an idle pastime back home, not anything that can be used for real battle." He turned his head slightly, eyeing Aemond as the other man undressed. Part of him wanted to crawl forward and try to suck his cock again, but the more rational part of him didn't want to start another fight in case Aemond wasn't in the mood.
"How long does it take the bath to heat?" he murmured.
"Mmm sounds as though you'd enjoy a good Tourney. Most do" Aemond replied with a bit of a shrug. Not him, he hated being a spectacle for others amusements. Moving to pull his pants down he hardly bothered answering Nathaniel’s mumbling and merely head for the doorway one servant was already leaving. Passing through the curtain and into a smaller room with a rather decent sized ((Hot tub sized perhaps)) tub in one corner he was soon moving to climb in sinking into the water which was at least decently warm by this point. The servants having merely had to add freshly heated water and they likely would once more before he was finished.
Well, Nathaniel was competitive enough to enjoy a tourney, but being a foreigner and not a noble or knight, would he even qualify?
He followed Aemond through to the other room. At first it was Aemond's ass he couldn't take his eyes off of... and then it was that tub. Yes, there was plenty of room for two, he thought with satisfaction as he joined Aemond, sitting on the side adjacent to him.
"Mmm, I thought my parents' house was luxurious." He sighed deeply with a contented smile. This was nice. He got to spend some quality time with a guy he definitely liked, for once without having his motives questioned.
Sinking into the water Aemond sort of stared for a moment, a brief smile drifting across his face at hearing Nathaniel. The man really was full of compliments it seemed. "It's alright I suppose, better than where I used to stay at least. But this isn't the best part, the best parts the bed" He added with a chuckle. His at least had a much better canopy than even Aegon’s and if he wanted he could probably sleep all day with how dark it got. You know, more important things than the fact Aegon nearly had a swimming pool for a tub and not so much a crammed hole in the wall.
Nathaniel laughed. "You scold me for trying to get into your pants, then you invite me to bathe with you and boast about your bed?" He nudged Aemond lightly. "Where did you used to stay?"
Hearing him Aemond bit his lower lip and for a moment almost looked a bit shyly away. Yeah he'd definitely done all of that so Nathaniel had a point. "The floor above us, me and my brother had conjoined chambers for a time. That and it was just off the main one. That entire floor is my mother and father's" He replied as he sunk further down into the water and laid his head back at the tub. Now, to hope Nathaniel completely forgot he'd wanted to wash his hair at all. Something that was now persistently entering Aemond’s mind as it would lead to ... Other things he'd rather avoid.
Aww. That little lip-bite was adorable. It made Nate want to grab Aemond's face in his hands and kiss him silly... but he refrained.
"Conjoined chambers?" he echoed. "Makes me glad I'm an only child." He busied himself with cleaning his body, then scooted over to Aemond and offered him the soap and cloth. "Do you want to, or do you want me to?"
"Yeah ... Lucky..." Aemond replied though his voice was a bit quiet now as he settled more into the water sort of staring quietly. At least until Nathaniel came moving closer with the soap. Eye moving down to it Aemond seemed to think for a moment before moving to take it from the other. "Think I can manage" He replied moving to soap up a bit moments later, his body moving briefly up out of the water before he sunk back in. Then finally he turned to face away in the tub, arms on the edge he reached to undo the eye patch dropping it on the edge. Then slowly his fingers moved to the opening, carefully removing the gold circled bright purple gym he set it down on the edge. Last came his hair tie and finally he backed from the edge enough to sink down into the water for a moment completely wetting his hair before coming back up again arms soon rest on the tubs edge and chin on his arm.
"Can you, pass me the bottle with the gold plating?" He finally asked though he didn't move his head to even look considering he wouldn't have been able to see Nathaniel without shifting all the way around from where he was anyway.
Nathaniel chuckled. Of course Aemond could manage, but did that mean Nathaniel couldn't offer? Not that Nate could blame him for resisting pampering. He probably wasn't used to it. Nate hadn't been used to it either when his friends had started in-- first George at work, then others he'd become surprisingly close to-- and he'd initially rejected their attempts, too.
So it felt nice when Aemond did ask something of him. Nate understood, to a degree, why Aemond was so difficult to get along with. Nate had been difficult to get along with, too, and he could empathize, but being on the receiving end of this... It wasn't always easy to remember that he'd once been the same. But bathing together had calmed Nate to a degree and he was less inclined to be as much of a dick towards Aemond.
He looked for the bottle Aemond asked him for. Once he'd found it, he came up just behind Aemond and placed it in his hand, his chin brushing Aemond's temple briefly. He resisted the urge to rest his head on the other's, not wanting to be pushed away yet again.
He wanted to say something, to find a way to connect, but he couldn't think of anything that wouldn't sound completely lame, so rather than try to make small talk, he said the absolutely dumbest and most vulnerable thing that could have possibly come to mind.
"You know I'd do anything for you, right? You don't need me to. You don't seem to need anyone. But the offer's open regardless." He tried for a casual tone, but the very contents of what he was saying rendered that impossible.
