Amenos. The prison island…
The forest was thick, the walls high separating the small township from the bulk part of the island and apart from ALL the other islands this place was the most inhospitable. Only those thought to have committed the most heinous of acts were sent here, to die for all the government on the main island cared. How he'd need upon of them was still a question in the dark elves mind as he looked back to the large gate closing behind him. The sounds of birds crying out in the distance might have been pretty had it not carried an eerie bit of doom with it.
Firstly, he wasn't innocent by any means! He'd had his hands in the pockets of many, committed unthinkable war crimes during his time with the Pact and the list went on. However, slaughtering an entire family in their sleep was NOT one of them. The accusations were false, the humans far to content to throw his kind away with little real trial! And where in all of this had Falvis and Dranos gone!? The wretches!? Was this about him turning Falvis down to join him in heading for Skyrim to meet his new found witchy friends!? He wanted nothing to do with that scandal!!!
After a long bit of time in thought the afternoon had grown late and he'd finally decided to risk wandering. He had no weapons currently, they'd taken everything and left him in rather raggedy clothes. He already felt gross from the sheer mug around him. Still he'd wandered a good ways, until something had caught his rather overly keen senses. The smell of food wafting through the air from somewhere. Both made his stomach flip in reminding him it was probably eating itself by now and that had to mean someone else out there. Now at first he'd considered the danger in that it could be a real group of criminals who inhabited the forest. But the need to figure out what to do before nightfall spurred him on.
//The city depicted in the picture is actually Amenos Station. The small dirt town that's just outside the wall blocking off the rest of the island. //
As muggy and moist as this island was, it wasn't a bad place to live by any means, Cygnet thought. Her uncle, Tokiomi, had shacked up with some ex-con or other, someone he claimed was a really great gal! Well, who was she to argue? It was a big island and they wouldn't miss her if she decided to move the next abandoned house over.
She had some meat roasting just now and she'd set out a nice pie on the windowsill to cool. Homely little habits, experimenting with recipes, and such. She did get lonely from time to time, but just now wasn't convenient for her to visit her uncle and his girlfriend. Instead she would simply cook, hopefully enough food to take her through those phases where she felt like only eating and not cooking, or perhaps if she made too much food she'd wander round outside and find someone to share it with.
