Gnashing, biting, it took everything in him to grasp onto Caraxes, eyes widening for the briefest moments as he heard the creatures screams in anger pain upon the larger Dragon getting ahold of his throat. Gods be damn, talk about along for the ride, it was like a vicious bloody dance above the clouds. Vhagar attempting to shove the red Dragons downward and Caraxes screaming and clawing like a bat out of hell. At one point a jerk in the saddle left Daemon hanging from his foot one of Caraxes feet accidentally kicking back into him. Hands clawing at the straps to pull himself up he tried to hang on as best he could. Then all to suddenly it felt as though he'd suddenly taken a blow to head. Letting out a pain scream he was suddenly all to aware he was suddenly laying on hard ground, loud sounds rushing by him. Light purple hues opening in confusion he was soon scrambling up and pausing back from the strange looking things moving by at a pace only a horse could achieve.
Gasping for breath for a moment his confusion likely showed on his face as he looked slowly over the strange things which were again slowing.
"Hey darling! Little lost!? Wasn't the Ren fair last month!??" A voice was suddenly shouting. The, what? He couldn't even see who had said that, there were so many lights it was near blinding honestly. "Ha! Fucking faggot! Get off the drugs!!" The voice jeered again. That word he knew but frankly he was still steadying his breath and the humans in the .. well he wasn't quite sure what to call them. Some sort of strange sorcery for sure. Well they were suddenly pulling forward and at a very fast pace to say the least.
"HA! GET A LIFE LARPER!" Another voice was suddenly calling as Daemon had moved to try and squint past the blinding lights out to where he could see the water in the distance. Then something smacked him in the back of the head, followed by a loud blaring noise. Whirling around his jaw was clenched. Who had done that!? Ahead he could see some younger goofy looking mid hanging out of one of the things. Gesturing at him. Fuck that! He was in no mood for such things! Pulling a dagger from his hip he was suddenly heading straight for them. The kids eyes were suddenly wide and he shouted loudly at the others with him.
He was nearly upon him when a loud blaring sound came from behind him. Gods what WAS that!!? Eye's shooting open he whirled only to see another seemingly shouting at him. Slowly, moving forward this time he jumped up on the man's …. Carriage? The fuck really? Something hard was between them, which he was soon testing with his foot, jamming it hard into the clear part once, twice, shattering, and the sounds of a woman screaming. Gods more of that blaring sound and shouting…. Nostrils glaring at this point he was soon reaching in to snatch the small strange looking man out through the broken glass, the man's wife likely now jumping from the door and screaming like a dumb bitch the whole while.
There was a crowd gathered by that point. Several people were filming or livestreaming what was going on. Waiting for his best friend at the bar, Trent was browsing Facebook on his phone when he saw one such stream. Just as he was properly processing it, his phone rang. Assuming Sebastian was calling to say he'd be late, Trent picked up. "Hello?"
"You seeing this?" Sebastian's voice came on the other end.
"My phone is by my ear," Trent pointed out helpfully.
Accustomed to the weird way Trent's mind worked, Sebastian chuckled to himself. "I'm outside if you want to get a closer look."
"Okay." Trent hung up and paid his tab (he'd just had a few IPAs), then left and got into Sebastian's favorite car, a black '56 Jaguar Roadster.
Sebastian had his own phone mounted and was using the live footage in place of actual navigation software. He found the spot on the bridge where all the commotion was going on, and--
"Wow." He elbowed at Trent, only Trent wasn't by his side. Instead, he had somehow made his way to the car. The woman who'd been in the passenger seat before, the screaming one, moved behind him and clutched at his blazer. Trent ignored her and hopped into the hood of the car next to the white-haired guy.
"Hi," he said. "Did you know there's a traffic jam here?" From anyone else the question might have sounded passive-aggressive in the extreme, but Trent was just so boyishly clueless it sounded like he was just making conversation, which in a way he was.
Fist up and damn near about to collide with the man's face Daemon's eyes rather quickly shot up at the sound of the voice. Wide and staring for a long moment at the short haired male who was now but a foot or so away grinning like an absolute bafoon. Breaths coming in rather quick gasps from the sheer amount of adrenaline he was currently on Daemon looked down slowly a big confused looking before his eyes met the man's who was below him, face bloodied and looking like anymore and Daemon was probably gonna bust his skull open.
That was as much as he paused however before moving to straight slice the guys throat clean open. Blood spewing and the woman nearby screaming so loudly it was damn near ear piercing, and she wasn't the only one, more screaming could be heard nearby as some people were legitimately fleeing their cars and another was screaming something about an alien. The noise, fuck, it was about to make him vomit at this point! Moving slowly from the hood of the car he wiped the knife on his pant leg and slowly started walking past that car and even past the woman who was still a screaming mess.
Something was seriously going on, was he losing it? Had he been teleported by some cruel spell? Maybe a bit of both .. either that or he'd died and this was seriously some cruel sort of hell.
"Wait!" Trent tried to stop him, but the blond man moved too quickly and killed the poor hapless guy. Sebastian, meanwhile, was casting the people screaming and running round a rather disdainful look.
Trent went after the blond man and gently tried to direct him to Sebastian's car. "It's okay," he said calmly. "I've had incidents like that, too. Bashie will clean it up."
"The hell I will!" Sebastian snapped without thinking. "You never killed somebody on a busy bridge with people fucking live streaming it on social media!" He pointed to the stranger. "In case you didn't know," he said sarcastically, "that's illegal here!"
"Hey," said Trent. "Let's not yell at him right now, okay? It'll just make things worse."
Sebastian rolled his eyes. "Fine. Get in," he said to the both of them, making every effort not to snap. "We can go... sort this out."
Damn this guy was persistent! And weird! Another look of confusion was shot Trent's way as the male went directing him for the vehicle but it was short lived as suddenly his expression was turning on the smaller male who was shouting and didn't sound to happy. "Is it not anywhere? I've no need of your help however I was perfectly fi...." He stopped looking agitated again as a loud horn blared from behind where Sebastian was stopped.
"Yo freak!! Just wait tell the fuckin cops show up!!" Someone was shouting.
Gods were they really testing him! Turning he purposely shoved Trent a bit hard this time wanting nothing to do with them. Frankly he merely wanted to get off this bridge and away from the noise as it was really giving him a complete headache on top of everything. Though that also could have been the whiplash from what he was doing prior to this. What had even happened!!?
"Dude, the police are going to be here any minute," Sebastian said, softening his tone a bit. "We need to get out of here. Fast."
"He's not a freak!" Trent called back to the person shouting. Turning back to the clearly-agitated man, he said, more quietly, "Hey. Why don't you come with us and tell us what happened?"
Sebastian scoffed. "Yeah, unless you want to deal with law enforcement," he grumbled.
